With over 18 years of experience serving the Twin Cities, our mission is to create innovative designs that inspire interaction and imagination using high-quality plants, materials, and construction techniques. We share our knowledge and foster ongoing stewardship to create lasting enjoyment. Most importantly, the outdoor spaces we design and build provide a place to create lasting memories.

Josh founded Sculptured Earth, Inc. to reimagine outdoor living spaces and bring homeowners' landscape dreams to life. His spirit of service guides Sculptured Earth's vision of combining artistry, functionality, and sustainability to transform landscapes into uniquely personalized outdoor experiences. At its core, Sculptured Earth is all about family, having been a family-operated business since its conception.
Josh, alongside his wife Jewels, their three children (Josie, Reese and Brett), and three fur babies (Milo, Pippa, and Jinx); have worked hard to grow and develop Sculptured Earth into what it is today. Their commitment to quality, attention to detail, and eco-friendly practices set them apart, offering clients personalized landscapes that blend beauty with practical design solutions.
In their spare time, the family enjoys spending time outdoors, frequently partaking in activities like fishing, boating, camping, four-wheeling or gardening. They also love to travel internationally and have visited places like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras.
Meet the Team
Josh K.
Founder & Principal Designer
Josh grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota, where he developed a love for nature and the outdoors. He spent much of his childhood helping with the family’s farm business and experimenting with landscaping. One of his first water features, designed and built during his high school years, is still flowing today!
Josh pursued his passion for landscaping and design by attending Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN, where he graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture & Technology in 2001. He enjoys the creative and artistic aspects of landscape design and the happiness his work brings to clients. Josh is a Minnesota Certified Landscape Professional, a Power Limited Electrician, and holds a certification from the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute.
Jewels K.
Owner & CEO
Jewels grew up in Rosemount, MN, and had a taste of entrepreneurship at an early age. In high school, she developed a non-profit organization, Let Your Image Shine, and worked as an office manager at her family’s business. She attended Arizona State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business and communications.
After graduation, Jewels practiced international law enforcement in Belize and held law enforcement positions in Hawaii and Minnesota. Her love of serving others and the outdoors made transitioning into the landscape industry a natural decision. She enjoys the variety and creative outlets that owning a landscape design and installation company provides.
